For Fort Sam Houston Army RV: Great place would stay here again concrete pull threw spots and level a little hard to find but not as bad as some seems, GPS to the Ft Sam National Cemetry and use the gate by the blue water tower and you will be great, once in the gate then map to the RV Park, staff was good, we did not use the shower house or the laundry. The only issue was dang train horn late at night, but a great place to stay!!

For Fort Sam Houston Army RV: Outstanding Campground and staff. We stayed here for a month. We just started FT in December and this facility is on the top of our list as a winter stay. Commissary and exchange are great. Of course all the attractions of San Antonio. Spaces are very roomy

For Fort Sam Houston Army RV: If you are coming from I-410 get off exit 581 take the left exit 31 towards San Antonio then take exit 159B (you will be on 35 then). That exit will take you to the Walters Gate which is always open. After going through the gate there will be a light you go through. After that you will go through 4 stop signs, the 4th stop sign is Hardee rd take a right at that street. You will then go 2 miles and will come to a T. Take a left at that T it will be Williams Way. You will then pass a elementary school on your right and come to Nursery rd take a right on that road. After that you will look for petroleum rd and take a left. You will see Rec park on your right and turn in there. Once you get on base you can put in Waze their address 4028 Petroleum rd and it will take you right to the RV park. Other than directions to get here (had to call to find out how to get here) the RV park is nice. Enough space away from neighbors. On a concrete spot. Laundry room is ok, you can芒鈧劉t get change to do laundry in the laundry room we had to go to the shopette. $1.50 to wash 1.50 to dry. Bathrooms are not my favorite. The changing area is an open bay which brings me back to basic training. The showers had good pressure just wish they had doors instead of shower curtains and things inside the shower so I could change in there instead of changing in front of strangers. Also the lock on the bathroom doors where you are suppose to put in a code to get in for the females was unlocked the who time so not safe. Other than those things I would stay here again. People are friendly! Also there is a train that you can hear from time to time. Would recommend!

For Fort Sam Houston Army RV: This place badly needs signs directing you to the Famcamp or anywhere else for that matter. We followed the sentry芒鈧劉s directions and they weren芒鈧劉t close. We ended up going down a troop sidewalk with a Class C and toad. We芒鈧劉re it not for another RV芒鈧劉er seeing us and leading us we芒鈧劉d still be going in circles. The park and staff are great. Propane on site. Trees,picnic table and BBQ grills at sites. We芒鈧劉d stay again. If we could find it. Maps and gate info not accurate . Took us 50 minutes to find our way off base due to closed gates.

For Fort Sam Houston Army RV: Have a strong drink prepared for your arrival, you芒鈧劉ll need it after trying to find the camp! Do not use the Binz Engleman Gate, cement barricaded serpentine traffic pattern will not allow longer vehicles. There are no signs directing you to the camp, the BX, anyplace actually. Pull thru sites are adequate, bathhouses need some updating (private showers with 芒鈧揼ang芒鈧� open changing area). Ok for a night. Might check out Lackland AFB next time in town.

For Fort Sam Houston Army RV: We had a pretty nice stay here in spite of some terrible circumstances. The winter weather slammed us and we were frozen solid quick. The base was closed for 3 days. In spite of all of that it was a nice stay. I think this probably used to be a premier stop. It was clean and kept up but there are some real drawbacks. The laundry facilities need to be replaced. We had trouble with the washing machines every time we used them. I would strongly recommend taking your laundry off post. The bathrooms were clean but also pretty run down. The roads on post are pretty bad and signage on post is terrible. Nice area we had a good time, lots of opportunities to improve. The staff was nice but no very proactive. We would stay again.
