For Cactus - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: This park was like nothing I芒鈧劉ve ever seen before. Everyone who I encountered working there was friendly, happy and thoroughly enjoyed where they were working. We visited December 18th and we were the only ones at cactus camp. Getting in passed the gates took a while (10-15 drive to the camps) with 5-6 road grade. Totally manageable if you drive slow. The entry gates also close before sunset so you are sure that no intruders can enter the campgrounds during the night, except the campers who are granted a gate code. The park was very organized and almost impossible to loose yourself in by car as one main road connects all the campgrounds. Highly suggest this park to families or couples looking to enjoy views. Con: The hikes can be a little confusing and it is easy to get off trail (lack of indication) + Bummer: You are charged an entry fee and a campground fee. For a simple no water/electric camp/2 people= 27$
