For Payne Oil RV Park: Stayed here a year ago and again this weekend. Mostly long term campers here. No reservation. First come first serve. They have 22 spots but only 11 work. One faucet and one electric box serves to spots w a 50 and a30 amp. It seems the 30 is out over the entire park so subsequently no service on half the spots and if you don鈥檛 have a splitter, no water. I was lucky enough to find a spot w a 50 amp available. If u just want to park for the night w minimum chance of service, it鈥檚 fine. Some highway noise as well

For Payne Oil RV Park: I live less than a mile from this "campground" and paid $5 to dump there today. There was no water for rinsing or washing hands because all hydrants, 1 per 2 sites (the reason fro low water pressure) were already hooked up to other trailers. The grass was nearly a foot tall and the approach to several sites was through 1 foot deep mud holes. The owners obviously do not care about appearances or even a modicom of ethical responsibility toward their customers along the lines of basic upkeep. Payne Oil RV Park is a classical example of capitalism gone bad and reflects negatively on the Newton, KS community where it is located as well as on Salina, KS where the owners live. I would sooner boondock along a dirt road than to hook up at Payne Oil RV Park.

For Payne Oil RV Park: Good simple park. Off the interstate. Will stay if in the area again.
