For BLM Hogan and Luce Campground: This is a BLM managed property. WARNING: Travel at your own risk ! The BLM does not properly caution the visitor as to the hazards of trying to "travel to this site" ! The road is gravel with sections of dirt surface. Saw a lot of evidence of ruts where vehicles got stuck. It is open range and livestock may block the road. Mostly too narrow for meeting and passing another vehicle. There are steep grades of 9% for short distances. The road is about 8 long miles off the main highway. 18 miles from town of Cody, Wyoming. A 90 deg turn is required through a very narrow gated entrance. Only a short trailer will make the turn! I traveled on June 10, 2019 to check it out. So glad I did not bring trailer !! After a rain, the road may not be safe for some travelers. There are 8 parallel parking spaces for small trailers. Important Note: There is NO Space between each row. Just a pipe laid out to mark the lane. There are 2 small lakes reportedly stocked with fish. I would only recommend this BLM dispersed camp in the dry summer months. Not recommended for most ! I submit this to save many from grief.
