For Three Rivers Petroglyph Site: Come here to see the petroglyphs. It鈥檚 a National Forest campground with ample dry camping sites but just two w/e hookups, all first come, first serve. Dry camped the first night but got in line behind one of the w/e sites whose occupants were leaving and got it for the second night. The bathroom is spotless, but there鈥檚 no shower. The trail to the petroglyphs is the main attraction here. It鈥檚 up a short hill with spectacular sunset views. There鈥檚 no reason to spend more than one night here but we used it to access White Sands NP just 40 miles away.

For Three Rivers Petroglyph Site: There is camping at this site and it is open. There are 2 RV sites with electric and water hookups and many tent sites. The camp was clean and had beautiful views. The camp host was very nice. The trail to the petroglyphs begins here. The petroglyphs were amazing to see. RV sites are $18/night and tent sites $7. Seniors get 50% off.
This is not to be confused with the BLM Three Rivers campground farther up the road which is closed.

For Three Rivers Petroglyph Site: We had a marvelous time here! It芒鈧劉s in a remote area but has easy access and trailheads at the site. The host, Bob, is so nice & hospitable. The bathrooms are clean & there is water.

For Three Rivers Petroglyph Site: We had a great time walking about. The signs that say be careful about reptiles are accurate. We stayed 2 nights in one of the electric sites.

Louise
For Three Rivers Petroglyph Site: Somebody said 30芒鈧劉 maximum size of motorhomes? We are here right now in our 36芒鈧劉. The hook-up sites (2) were taken, and when we looked at the boondock sites with tables, they were all sloping one way or the other. The most level area is next to the visitor center, so that芒鈧劉s where we are. Fine with us! We don芒鈧劉t need a picnic table in early February (cold and windy out), and we are more private over here. Hosts are super nice. Those who say the hike to the petroglyphs is 芒鈧揺asy芒鈧 must be younger, because in my 60芒鈧劉s with some ankle stability issues, I wished the hosts had recommended I take a hiking pole with me. I did not because of all the reviews that said 芒鈧揺asy.芒鈧 It is not a bad climb, but it is very rocky, some of the paths are extremely rocky with large steps up or down. A pole would have made me feel more secure. The petroglyphs themselves are amazing. The whole area has so much to offer. Also visit Valley of Fires, make the drive over to Lincoln National Monument and Ft. Stanton, and continue the drive down the road to the little Spanish chapel. You won芒鈧劉t be disappointed!

Lola Belle
For Three Rivers Petroglyph Site: The petroglyphs are amazing. There are over 21 thousand of them. The hike is easy. The camping is a gravel lot. There are covered picnic tables and bathrooms. Basically camping in a parking lot. The only hike is the pictograph hike which is amazing but there are no other trails. 8.5 miles down the road is another campground that is really nice with a river and some nice hiking.

Jane Keffer
For Three Rivers Petroglyph Site: Nice, small park surrounded by mountain vistas. Clean restrooms. No showers. It was full when we arrived late in the day but the host found a fairly level spot for us near host site. No electric, of course but that was okay for us in our class C. The stars are amazing as are the sunsets. We came to see and photograh the petroglyphs. Nice, easy hike up. So many!
