For Shell Lake Municipal Park: Really neat campground in the town of Shell Lake. Located on the west shore of the Lake with 12 lake front sites, and the other 35 sites set back from the beach. Located next to a boat launch & public swim beach. One can walk to the surprisingly modern downtown with a couple restaurants, a grocery store, museum and shops. What a pleasant surprise.

For Shell Lake Municipal Park: This campground is a gem! We paid $35/night for a full hookup site one row back from the lake. There are many sites that are lakefront. Sites were gravel but very long and level. Bathrooms were closed due to Covid so I can't comment on that. Shell Lake is a gorgeous lake...clean and clear. There is a boat ramp in the campground and a beach and swimming dock adjacent to the campground. The town of Shell Lake is small, but the campground is just a block from the grocery store. There is are several nice restaurants within walking distance of the campground. We would definitely stay again.
