For Chute Pond Park and Campground: We had a weekend reservation for the 3rd June weekend 2017. Campground was full. We had site 40 on the river but the highway is on the other side so could not hear the river. Sites in this section of the park are very crowded with one tent right next to another, hardly room for a small camper. Balance of the park is better but sites are still small, crowded and not level. Showers charge for time but restroom Modern. Pit toilets worst I have seen.
We left after one night.

For Chute Pond Park and Campground: The CHUTE Pond Park and Campground is owned by Oconto County. The current dam creating the 422 acre lake was built by the WPA in 1937, and is on the National Historic Register. The campground is beautifully surrounded by red granite out croppings, tall pines, and has a huge natural water slide called 'Slippery Rock'. There is direct access to the ATV trails, boat launch, and the Nicolet National Forest. It is a great place for families to camp.
