For Paradise Point State Park: We came here only due to the park鈥檚 ease of on/off from 1-5 and our route of travel. I was not expecting it to be a typical WA State Park experience due to reviews I had seen. We got here at 3:30 and no staff was there to check in but one ranger did stop and explain the process. We had reserved an electric/water site in advance and proceeded to our site. It was raining and many sites were empty. We tried for over a half hour to level our 30 foot Class A. Went to another vacant site and tried again, no luck. We found a non-electric site that was level enough to park. Many sites had large pit holes and puddles making access to an RV a wet experience. One tent camper had a somewhat vicious dog off leash that wanted to get at our dog. All and all it was one of our worst ever camping experiences and we will never go here again.

For Paradise Point State Park: I primarily came here to dump my tanks, as it's close to Portland. I did not stay overnight, but did use the Day Area, which is free with a Washington State Discover Pass. It's a very pretty park, right at at curve of the Lewis River. There's a frisbee golf course and a nice hiking trail along the river. Looks like a great spot to drop in a canoe or kayak. Unfortunately, it is right on the highway--as in Interstate 5 is literally overhead of the swimming area. We spent a couple of hours, dumped our tanks and headed back home. Not sure I'd want to camp there for any period of time, but would be nice and convenient if traveling through.

Don
For Paradise Point State Park: My wife and I reserved a water/electrical site for one night to camp with our grand kids. We were very disappointed with the lack of quality and amenities for this park. It is located right next to I-5 and the hook-up sites are on the freeway side of the park. Needless to say it was very noisy from freeway traffic at all hours. This park is not child friendly as it is hilly and there are no play structures. The day-use area was located down by the Lewis River and was very primative...primarily dirt and gravel, only two picnic tables, and no designated swimming/wading area. And despite the lack quality of this park, we were charged the premium rate of $40/night. We have stayed in much nicer Washington State parks for less.
