For Tinkham Campground: Absolutely horrendous rutted, bumpy gravel road getting in. Towing a trailer, we drove it at 3mph. I would never return. If you must go anyway, take exit 42; not 47 as Google Maps and TomTom directed. This way, the road is only 1 mile long instead of 4. The sites were ok鈥攙ery wooded鈥攂ut there鈥檚 nothing to do there. There is one trail. The river/stream is full of deadwood. Interstate noise is high.

For Tinkham Campground: Tin khan campground has been our last minute escape campground for well over a decade. It芒鈧劉s stunningly beautiful, but the campground itself far from perfect. When we were only camping with tents, the campsites were easy to access, set up, and maneuver. The cons with tents is you can hear some of the freeway noise and odds are that you芒鈧劉ll get rained on. The freeway noise is often drowned out by the beautiful Snoqualmie River rushing along side the campground. With an RV? Well, it is not so easy for bigger rigs to access and navigate. The sites are smaller and the road to get to the campground is unpaved but mostly well kept (except during/after really heavy rains). Some sites are definitely more RV friendly than others, so plan ahead when you book your site. There are no hook ups and only non-flush toilets and one spigot with amazingly fresh (spring?) water. A plus with an RV here is that you hear no freeway noise and you芒鈧劉re out of the elements when you want to (not to mention warm beds, hot showers, and your own bathroom). From the campground, there are many access points to the river and lots of trails. It芒鈧劉s a stunningly beautiful area that feels remote but is only a few miles from civilization.
