For Saint Clair RV Resort: Just pulled in, this is our first Thousand Trails campground. They have us at C30 site, it rained and the site are muddy, a little gravel on the site would be helpful. A old tree stump is in the area where you need to park.

For Saint Clair RV Resort: First of all, I read horrible reviews about this place on every board and all I can say is that there appears to be a bunch of people who really need to go back home and sell their rig. I芒鈧劉ve seen lots of places with much worse roads, much less secure neighborhoods, and the staff here is friendly as all heck. First is the roads. Pot holes? Show me a gravel road that doesn芒鈧劉t have them. Second, we芒鈧劉re in the middle of nowhere so unless you expect some gang banger to drive up from Detroit, there芒鈧劉s really no way to feel unsafe unless Michigan is some sort of hole to begin with... doesn芒鈧劉t seem to be, but maybe they know something that I don芒鈧劉t. Finally the staff seem to be putting up with a bunch of really rude people and perhaps not handling it with complete aplomb. I芒鈧劉m originally from Wisconsin so I know that northerners tend to get surly where southerners seem to get quiet and icily polite.
Are there problems here? Yes. It芒鈧劉s a really old park in a part of the country where the ground can freeze several feet down. I pulled into A43 and discovered the 30 amp breaker is more Iike a 25 amp breaker because a good 30amp breaker will let me run the air, hot water, and TV without tripping. Ok, gas hot water while we芒鈧劉re here. Also, the water doesn芒鈧劉t work at the site and I had to connect to the neighbors spigot, but pressure is really decent, so no worries.
We drove around the campground and there are some sites that are just dirt & grass, so parking a big rig on those sites is just dumb. And the number of 芒鈧搕ight芒鈧 spaces can be counted on one hand. Again, why would you park a big rig with slides in those sites. Also, most TT parks will let you move to another site so there is no reason to stay in a bad spot.
TT has been fixing up parks for the last few years and I expect St Claire is on the list. They have a beautiful new pool and the laundry facilities are not old. The park is decently groomed and I think the BS I芒鈧劉ve seen in reviews ranks at the lowest end of human drivel. This place is decent for an old TT park waiting to be renovated, and anyone who says otherwise should go back to their country club and leave the rest of us alone.
If I芒鈧劉m sounding rude in anyway it芒鈧劉s because I芒鈧劉m getting tired of all of the whining about KOA and TT parks. If you don芒鈧劉t like them, stay somewhere else.
BTW, Verizon is 1-2 bars but my MiFi with external antenna can stream shows to my Amazon fire stick. T-mobile is 2-3 bars bars and I expect no problems connecting for work.
If you want to complain about something, complain about I-75 / I-94 from the MI boarder to north of Detroit. We had to slow down to 50mph lest we shake the rig apart or ruin our kidneys. THAT was a bloody awful drive that I will not take again until someone can guarantee they芒鈧劉ve fixed the entire run.
Also, I芒鈧劉m usually pretty generous with my ratings so the lowers rattan usual rating is for corporate not paying closer attention to this park. A little more gravel along with a handyman with a modest budget could make a real difference.
08-05-19 IMPORTANT UPDATE: A loop the oldest loop so maybe it\'s just an A loop issue (I\'m in A43), but use the really good blue filter between your rig and the spigot, otherwise you will contaminate your system with lots of rust particles. The water tastes fine after it goes through the blue and house filters, so I think we\'re in good shape. Otherwise, this place is a beautiful spot and if they ever get around to doing upgrades here, it will be a jewel.

For Saint Clair RV Resort: We were visiting Michigan in our 45' RV and found this site. Upon arrival the entry looked really nice except for many low trees. Staff was disorganized and unfriendly. Told us to drive around by car to a specific area and find suitable site. None available! Finally found us a site in a nasty field with huge holes! We were here in July, very hot. The pool was not operational. One RV got stuck in mud and had to be towed out!
By far one of the worst sites. Stay away!
