For Kneff Lake NF Campground: Small National forest campground. Most of the sites have some sort of access to the lake. There is also a set of steep stairs that goes right into the lake itself from the campground. There is a separate day use area that has a beach but we did not go to this area other than driving through the parking area. Looks like more stairs to get the beach but not sure. Campground is clean. I liked the fact that they provided fire buckets on the water spigots to "douse" your fire with. From what I seen all of the sites have a built in fire ring with a fold away grill attached... nice touch. Bathrooms were a little stinky but it's an outhouse. Most sites have a pole to hang garbage or a lantern on..the site I was on(26) did not. They have paved pads on one circle of sites, the other circle has dirt pads. Some sites also have a tent pad built right in. The dirt pad sites have the view of the lake from your site. Grayling is nearby and if you need more firewood there are a lot of "neighbors" that sell it
