For Westlake Campground: The only negative is both this lake and nearby Dowdy Lake doesn鈥檛 allow swimming. Peaceful, shaded sites, fair distance from others. Our tow vehicle is in the shop- but fear not- there is a path and a short walk to the local market (with reasonable prices- instead of typical GOTCHA pricing). Excellent cell coverage. Very quiet area

For Westlake Campground: We spent one night here in early July at site 19 on the ridge and really enjoyed it with the great views. Sites were level and clean and we had 3 bars LTE with Verizon. This is a great base camp to explore the Red Feather Lakes area. After driving over to Dowdy Lake campground, we liked it a little better since the lake is bigger and it芒鈧劉s closer to more hiking trails. Both are great though. Make sure to fill up water tank before you arrive.
