For Spruce Lake RV Park: Overnight stay after traveling. The best thing about this park is the nice neighbors (Mark and Kelli) we met from Denver. It has a small dog area and a little stream that you can walk to-other than that the site was just OK. Pretty expensive $74 per nite. Would not go back here again. Although was thankful to find a place to rest on a Friday night w/o a reservation. Praise God.

For Spruce Lake RV Park: Two words can describe this campground. EXPENSIVE and TIGHT!!! If you stay here, you have to accept the fact that you are literally at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and you芒鈧劉re going to pay a 芒鈧揷onvenience fee芒鈧 for that privilege. If this place was, say, in the middle of Iowa, it wouldn芒鈧劉t be able to get more than $30 a night maximum. That芒鈧劉s the EXPENSIVE part. The TIGHT part is that this is well into the top three campgrounds for me that I芒鈧劉ve ever stayed in for closeness of campers. You have to do a considerable amount of expert camper backing to get your camper into these sites. They are staggered back to back meaning your rear neighbors camper is almost touching the back of yours. It芒鈧劉s mostly dusty grass so bring a large mat for the front of your common area. There is a nice natural stream that runs through the back of the campground and you can fish it but you need a license (which I completely understand) but they also have a pond on the campground and they charge an EXTRA FEE to fish that??? I芒鈧劉ve NEVER seen this at any other campground. Bottom line, if you plan on visiting RMNP, do your homework and try and stay somewhere less expensive and more accommodating. I芒鈧劉d avoid this place if I were to do it again.

For Spruce Lake RV Park: Nice grounds. Probably one of the most expensive RV parks in the area. They charged us $75 for one night. Extra $10 for our two 6 year old twins. $12 dump fee plus $12 water fee for those passing through. Old guy managing the place has a crust about him that wears off once you get to know him. Stayed last minute because of lack of planning, but I would avoid due to it being overpriced.
