For Patrick Creek Campground: Easy access with 28'TT. Nice campground, restrooms clean, good camphost. Almost all sites shady as can be with a fair number of considerate camping neighbors. Right close to river that is quite pretty especially in the evening light. We were evacuated second night following lightning-caused fire. Cal-Fire managed evacuations very well esp. given 13 fires in the area.

For Patrick Creek Campground: Small campground with good amount of privacy. Basic amenities and not too many RVs which was nice. Easy trip into Crescent City and to redwoods. Not a lot of hiking, although walking distance to the beautiful Smith River. Only $14/night. Flush toilets and camp host, but no firewood for sale.
