For Prairie Creek: Nice sites on the river with water & electric. Laundry was open which was wonderful. However, we were there during duck hunting season so while enjoying my coffee and watching the river gun shots were plentiful! WARNING: drive very slowly on the way out on Benton road! We hit a bump in the road that felt like a rolled coaster!!! That bump broke a Pyrex dish, unloaded cabinets, bounced our batteries on the tray, and now both doorways on our travel trailer are ajar. We were only doing 35mph!! As we were on the side of the road cleaning up a local stopped and asked if we needed help. He said he has hit that bump with his trailer and has tried to get the county to fix it with no avail! Campground was nice, but between the gunshots and the road is the 3 star rating.

For Prairie Creek: Absolutely beautiful campground. Sites are spacious and level, and many right near the water. My site felt private, beautiful view of Prairie Creek. The breeze is less on the Creek side, more breeze on the Alabama River side. Campground personnel friendly I especially like the attendance at the gate and that gates are locked at night. There鈥檚 also a laundry. I didn鈥檛 use the restroom facilities so I can鈥檛 speak to that. Getting Internet on my phone was spotty. I will come again.

For Prairie Creek: Quiet and sites are spread out. Laundry was extra perk. Make are you go to interpretive center 10 miles away.

For Prairie Creek: Very nice location with many waterfront sites overlooking Prairie Creek or the Alabama River. Extremely quiet during the week. Bathhouses older but clean. Close to Selma.

For Prairie Creek: This is one of our favorite campgrounds on our cross-country trip! Many of the sites are exceptionally large and private. Quite a few are on the water. Well-maintained.
